Overview

Voices of the Boyne is a locative augmented reality game created as part of the LoGaCulture project at Trinity College Dublin. This Policy explains what data the app collects, why we use it, how it is stored and shared, and the choices available to you.

What we do NOT collect

What we DO collect

Why we collect this data

We use the data only to enable gameplay features (location & motion), improve the app (analytics), and to support optional connected sensors (Bluetooth). Location and motion data are core to the game experience; disabling them will restrict or prevent gameplay.

Third-party services

The app uses trusted third-party providers to process analytics and crash reports. These providers may collect and process the anonymous usage data listed above under their own terms:

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these services for details on their data practices.

Storage & retention

We do not store personal user accounts or personally-identifying information on our own servers. Anonymous analytics data and diagnostics are retained by the third-party services in accordance with their policies. Location and motion data are processed only to support immediate gameplay and aggregated analytics; they are not used to build personal profiles.

Children

The app is playable by children. Because the app uses location services, children should be supervised by a parent or guardian while using the app in outdoor environments. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
